Welcome to my fresh new blog!

A little bit about me. I am Chinese Canadian, and I'm a drama queen (but in the best way possible). I'm a Canadian born Chinese woman currently majoring in music theatre performance. A wild time. While doing this, I've constantly wondered where I fit into this canon and the greater entertainment industry and why more people don't know about Asian things. I've also discovered a lot about my place as an Asian in the world and in different contexts/provinces and whatnot. I've also stumbled upon many Asian research topics and thought "EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW THIS!" so, here we are.

I’ve thought about starting a blog before, but with self quarantine and the state of the world right now, I’m thinking maybe it’s actually time to commit to starting a blog. I also feel like I have learned a lot about myself and life (even though I’m kind of still a baby?) but maybe there are things that I’ve discovered that can help someone else. I also love research (I know, I'm weird) and am constantly talking about how we should/could be changing the world and discussing societal issues so here is where I can put my research fiend energy and hopefully help inform others.

This will likely be a little blog for the support, education, and conversation starters that everyone needs. Those 2am roommate chats and conversations/thoughts that are sent out into the ether. So if you have any kind of artistic works or writings that you’d like to share, send ‘em my way!
